Groningen in third place of happiest cities in Europe

Nothing beats Groningen, and European Union research now seems to confirm that as well: Groningen ranks third among the happiest cities in Europe.
The survey shows that 96 percent of residents are satisfied.
No other city in Europe is as happy with its cultural facilities as Groningen, the research see.
The city owes that to the presence of the Groninger Museum, the Forum, SPOT and the Stadsschouwburg, among others.
Only Luxembourg residents are slightly more satisfied with this.
Not only in the area of cultural offerings are Groningers thickly satisfied. Groningers are also happy with the quality of the city's markets, squares and sidewalks.
But the residential climate is also highly regarded. Landlords like Woldring United with the finest residential development in
Groningen (designed by Urban Climate Architects UCA and completed in 2020) contributed to this.
A total of 83 cities were included in the study and more than70,000 people were surveyed. Zurich and Copenhagen ranked first and second.
